Opera Contempo is a non-profit chamber opera company located in Salt Lake City, UT.

NEW WORKS: We center stories and composers historically under-represented in the Classical music world, including women+, LGBTQIA+, BIPOC, and Utah voices. We partner with composers and librettists to workshop new operas through the creation process.

NEW SETTINGS: We believe opera is for everyone. We create concerts, readings, and fully-staged productions in unexpected places and with low-to-zero ticket costs to remove socio-economic barriers to accessing opera.

NEW VOICES: We prioritize casting performers with Utah ties. We create updated settings of standard repertoire and we premiere new works.
